To create a page in WordPress, follow these steps:
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard. Typically, you can access the dashboard by adding “/wp-admin” to the end of your website’s URL (e.g. yourwebsite.com/wp-admin).
- Once logged in, navigate to the “Pages” section in the left-hand menu of the dashboard.
- Click on “Add New” to create a new page.
- Enter a title for your page in the provided field at the top of the page editor. This will be the main heading for your page.
- Add content to your page by using the block editor. You can add text, images, videos, and other media by selecting the appropriate blocks from the options available.
- Customize the layout and appearance of your page using the block editor’s formatting options. You can adjust text formatting, add headings, create lists, and more.
- If desired, set a featured image for your page by clicking on the “Set featured image” link in the sidebar. This image will be displayed as a thumbnail or header image for your page.
- Configure the page settings in the right-hand sidebar. Here, you can set the page’s visibility (public, password-protected, or private), assign a parent page if necessary, and adjust the page template.
- Once you’re satisfied with your page’s content and settings, click on the “Publish” button in the top-right corner of the screen to make your page live on your website.
- You can view your newly created page by clicking on the “View Page” link that appears after publishing or by visiting your website’s URL and navigating to the page.
