How Google Sends Traffic To Your Blog?

On internet, traffic is money and Google is the best source of bringing new and consistent traffic to your blog. Let us see how Google sends traffic to blogs and what types of blogs get more traffic from search engines.

Whenever someone searches for a particular topic or keyword on Google, the search engine displays a list of relevant web pages in the search results. If a blogger has optimized their content for search engines by using relevant keywords, providing valuable information, and following good SEO practices, their blog posts have a chance to appear in the search results.

Appearing on the first page of search results increases the likelihood of users clicking on the blogger’s link and driving traffic to their website.

Many times Google displays featured snippets at the top of the search results, providing concise answers to users’ queries. If a blogger’s content is well-structured, informative, and directly answers common questions, Google may select their blog post to be featured in the snippet. This can significantly increase visibility and drive more traffic to the blogger’s website.

So, in order to increase the likelihood of Google sending traffic to their blog, bloggers should focus on creating high-quality content, optimizing it for search engines, and following SEO best practices. This includes conducting keyword research, writing engaging and informative posts, optimizing meta tags, building quality backlinks, and promoting their content through various channels to enhance visibility and attract organic traffic from Google Search.

  1. Lots of sites have great content, how does google qualify – what is good content, same content – how does it segregate between websites to increase traffic to my website – please advise

    1. Google has a complicated algorithm for ranking website on search engine results pages. The posts that are well written, have useful content and have used seo keywords that are often used by the internet searchers rank higher on search. Apart from that it has been noticed that the posts that covers all important parts of the topic and have classified it in to headings rank higher on search.

For example, If you search How Google send traffic to your blog? You will see the top posts have multiple sub-headings and those are also shown on search result page. That does’t means a small post will not stand anywhere in Google, it will (if it has quality content) and it will bring traffic too but most of the traffic would be from the subscribers, direct visitors, and fans. SEO optimization of website is also very important to rank higher on search.

So in order to rank higher on search follow these keypoints and have patience till Google recognises you as a serious blogger:

#1 In the beginning post at least 2 to 4 articles a day
#2 Provide latest and useful information
#3 Apart from featured image try to include useful/illustrative images inside your post content
#4 Split post content into multiple headings
#5 Get SEO optimization of your website done by an expert
#6 Maintain the consistency of your posts
#7 Since Google has official declared it as a ranking factor so subscribe to a SSL, malware blocker and firewall to maintain the security of your visitors as Google don’t send visitors to insecure websites
#8 Keep the PHP and CMS updated to latest release as hackers target outdated folders on your website, and when you get malware/phishing plant by an hacker, Google stops sending traffic to your website
#9 Include important keywords (in your post) that are searched by people
#10 Write headings that are searched by people as question or include keywords that people use while searching anything on Google

Follow these points and the your blog will rank higher on search. Don’t worry about your competitors, more than 8.5 billion searches happen in a day so you are going to find your people soon. Just like there are many blogs who don’t stand on the top of Google but they get huge traffic on their blogs.
