To write a post in WordPress, log in to your WordPress admin area by visiting yourdomain.com/wp-admin (replace “yourdomain.com” with your actual domain name) and then follow these steps:
- Once logged in, you will be on the WordPress Dashboard. From the sidebar menu, click on “Posts” and then “Add New.”
- You will be taken to the WordPress editor, where you can start writing your post.
- Add a title for your post in the title field at the top of the editor.

- Once you are satisfied with your post, click on the “Publish” button on the right-hand side to make your post live on your website. You can also schedule your post to be published at a later date or set it as a draft to be edited further.
- After publishing, you can view your post by clicking on the “View Post” link that appears after publishing or by visiting your website and navigating to the post.
That’s it! You have successfully written and published a post in WordPress. You can always go back and edit your posts by going to the “Posts” section in the WordPress admin area and selecting the post you want to edit.
